Stimelar was founded with a vision to create a world without unemployment. This vision, was a response to the increasing unemployment rate in South Africa, Africa, and the entire developing community. Stimelar was, therefore, tasked to find solutions to that will actively engage the unemployment crisis.
The mission for Stimelar is to identify problems faced by individuals; groups; communities; the private sector; and government so that partnerships can be formed to solve those problems. Job seekers, or the unemployed, would then be given an opportunity to participate in implementing the solutions.
Since inception, Stimelar has and/or is working on the following projects that we believe are steps leading us closer to creating a world without unemployment:
- Job Updates: Stimelar has been helping people find jobs by sharing information about jobs that are available on the market. The information is sourced from third party sources, and shared on our blog on a weekly basis. There has been instances where people got jobs through the information that we shared.
- Muffin: Through our founder, Stimelar has indirectly partnered with a microfinance company. The partnership gives us the opportunity to help job seekers/unemployed generate some form of income when they help collect information about people who want loans/financial products. The job seekers operate as independent contractors, and are they not recognised as employees.
Stimelar Group was founded Ashford C. Mahlawule, an Industrial Engineering graduate from the University of Johannesburg. The company is based in Soweto, Chiawelo.
